A TWIST ON SPRING CLEANING

Hey Maker!
"There is an Indian proverb that says that everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emotional, and a spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person." - Rumer Godden
Today we invite you to do some Spring cleaning a little differently than you may think! Start off your week by visiting all 4 rooms mentioned in this quote by Rumer Godden.
How can you physically move your body today? Maybe look back at some of the Movement tips Missy has shared or use your favorite self-care tools! Remember, moving your body can be as simple as changing your position right now!
Have you taken a mental break for yourself recently? Take a moment to look away from your devices and to allow your mind to wander... it may even wander to your grocery list or to do list- that is perfectly fine! Allow the thoughts to come and go freely with observation, not fixation. Meander about!
How is your emotional room looking these days? Maybe take some time to journal and write about the feelings that come up or even paint/draw a picture of this space inside. You can even write about them in the context of a room (my room is full with cobwebs.. my room is clean and airy..).
Lastly, check in with your spiritual room. This room is a bit less material or physical. It relates to our thoughts and beliefs, rather than our bodies and physical surroundings. How does your spirit feel? Is there a philosophy, religion or organization that helps ground you that you can somehow visit today?
Happy Spring Cleaning!
